The bleachers at North Daviess High School gym have been removed. School Superintendent Bob Bell says the new bleachers should be on site next week. Some of the wood from the old bleachers is for sale while some will be used by woodshop classes.
The Washington Times Herald reports the public can purchase numbered 16 foot boards for $10 each and numbered 10 foot boards are $6. Boards without numbers are $5 for 16 feet and $3 for 10 feet.
The school board last night voted to approve to continue updating lighting. The corporation will buy 780 2 by 4 feet LED lights and 150 smaller LED fixtures for North Daviess Elementary. The total cost is over $55,000 with a rebate of nearly $23,000.
