Man jailed for hitting parked truck; resident reports house hit by potatoes

-An Odon man is facing several charges after a Monday night incident.  Washington police arrested 27-year-old Zane Abbott for Operating While Intoxicated with a Controlled Substance, and OVWI with Endangerment as well as Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident.  No bond was set at the Daviess County Security Center.  Police reports say Abbot was arrested after a short investigation into a parked pickup being hit by a moving vehicle on Southeast 2nd.  The report was made at 9:17 last night.

-Monday, Carrie Chaney, 26 of Jasper was jailed on a warrant in Washington for Failure to Appear. Bond was set at $5000. Bond was posted.

-Indiana State Police arrested a Bloomington man for Possession of Marijuana Monday.  Sedrique Wilkerson’s bond was set at $2000 and bond was posted.

-State Police arrested 55-year-old Elbert Presley of Jasper on an Out of County Warrant.  No bond was set.

 -A Washington resident reported hearing noises in the night and when they went to get mail the next day found holes in the siding of the home.  Apparently someone had thrown potatoes at the house.  Police ordered extra patrol in the State Street area after looking into the report.

-There was a drive off at Circle K West on East National Highway yesterday afternoon. Someone drove away without paying for over $20 in fuel.
