Authorities report no kids or staff was ever in danger when a suspicious woman entered North Daviess Elementary School yesterday.

The Daviess County Sheriff’s Department says 53-year-old Desiree Munz, 53 of Beech Grove Indiana was not an intruder and went into the school at Elnora about 2:30 yesterday demanding to see her kids.  A deputy already on scene and school staff immediately confronted her when she came in.  It was determined she did not have any kids enrolled at North Daviess   She was detained and escorted out the school and off school property.

Munz identified herself as a federal officer to the deputy and demanded to see her kids.  Charges have been forwarded to the Daviess County Prosecutors Office for Criminal Trespassing and impersonating a public official.  Last October, the sheriff’s department had an incident with Munz camping out all night at an Odon Business.  Because of her history, a local mental health facility has been notified to assist her.  The investigation is continuing.
