The 15th Street Overhead Bridge project in Washington is now scheduled to start next week. The bridge between Van Trees and State Streets is now slated to close on the 13th, a week from today. Mayor Joe Wellman tells prep work continues. A nearby home purchased by the county is being torn down. The Mayor says the project will take awhile and will be an inconvenience but has long been needed and will be well worth the efforts to get it completed..
Force Construction was awarded the contract in January for the work at just under $2 million. Again the bridge now scheduled to close next week.
