A local man pleaded guilty on Tuesday to assisting a criminal.

Daviess County Superior Court Judge Dean Sobecki said he should accept 20-year-old Nicholas White’s plea from a crime dating back to October 2015.

The  Washington Times Herald  reports that White’s sentence would be about 2.5 years on supervised probation and 400 hours of community service along with paying court costs.

White was said to have been driving a car meant for the getaway of Jacob Kunze who attempted a robbery on a woman by trying to steal a purse.  The woman was injured. Kunze was sentenced to 12 years in jail last summer after pleading guilty to Attempted Robbery Resulting in Bodily Injury.
