Alberta S. Crews, 75, of Vincennes, passed away February 15, 2018, at Good Samaritan Hospital.
Alberta had retired from K-Mart after 26 years. She then worked at Wal-Mart in Flora, IL for 6 years. Alberta liked spending time with her family and friends, and enjoyed her fur babies.
Surviving is her companion of 17 years, Jerry Lewis; her children, Cathy Crews of Vincennes, IN, Merna Crews of Palestine, IL, John F. Crews and his wife, Kelly, of Vincennes, IN, Ann Thurman and her husband, Elvis, of Vincennes,IN and Chris Crews and his wife, Monica, of Borden, IN; her sister, Freida Rogers of Evansville, IN; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Born May 1, 1942, in Vincennes, IN, Alberta was the daughter of Albert and Louella (Rabold) Rafferty. Her parents, and her husband, John J. Crews, whom she married October 5, 1959, and who passed away April 21, 1983, preceded her.
Friends may visit with her family from 12:00 – 2:00, on Saturday, at Goodwin Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2:00, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
