Accidents Result in Charges

-Washington Police made an Operating While Intoxicated arrest overnight.  25-year-old Mitchell Worland of Washington was booked into the Daviess County Security Center on the charge.  No bond was set.  Worland was arrested following a property damage accident on Daviess County Road 100-East. 

 -Police reports state charges are pending in an accident where police say a motorist left the scene.  At 9:30 last night there was a call about an accident on Southwest 5th.  The report was a car went over a concrete embankment.  The vehicle was a Ford Taurus and the driver was not at the crash site.   After a short investigation, the owner of the car, 48-year-old Kimberly A. Furman, who was determined to be the driver, was located.  She will be long-formed for Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident.

 -38-year-old Michael Gray of Petersburg was arrested by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department Thursday for Driving while Suspended. Bond was posted.

 -35-year-old James Wallisa of Loogootee was jailed for a Failure To Appear Warrant on Thursday.  Bond was posted.

-One person was transported from the scene of a rollover crash on US 50 near Loogootee at 8:30 last night.  A power pole was apparently knocked down in the incident as Duke Energy was called to replace the pole.  Martin and Daviess County units responded to the scene.

 -There was a two car collision at State Road 57 and Cumberland Drive reported at 8:37 last night.   An ambulance was said to have been on the scene.

 -There was a one vehicle accident without injuries on Sugarland Road reported at 12:20 yesterday.

 -A resident on East National Highway reported someone had hit their vehicle and left the scene. That was reported at 6 last night.

 -No injuries when one vehicle rear-ended another at the stoplight at East National Highway and State Road 57 yesterday morning.  The accident was reported about 8-am.
