Clement O. ‘Tim’ Rader, 91, of Elnora, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2018, surrounded by loved ones at his residence. He was born on June 18, 1926 in Elnora, Indiana to Oscar E. and Leona M. (Watson) Rader. He married Emma Lou (Cooper) Rader on January 7, 1948 with 62 years of marriage.

Tim served in the US Army during World War II serving with the 290th Combat Eng. Battalion.  He was a member of the Elnora Christian Church and Elnora American Legion Post #245. He worked at Crane Naval Weapons Center and McCord Corporation in Washington, also farmed before retiring in 1991. Tim was a lifetime Cardinals fan, he enjoyed watching baseball and listening to country music.

Survivors include: three sons, Michael (Pam) Rader of Bloomfield, Randall Rader of Clinton and Gary (Ann) Rader of Columbia, MD; two daughters, Cynthia (Steve) Sasson of Rochester, NY and Kathy (JC) Shelton of Washington; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter and two sisters, Virginia Smith of Chicago, IL and Marjorie Moore of Jacksonville, FL.

Tim was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife; a daughter-in-law; two sisters and two brothers.

The family of Tim is honoring his wishes with cremation. Family and friends are invited to a gathering, visitation and time of reflection from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Elnora Christian Church. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 PM with Rev. Dick Smith officiating. Tim will be laid to rest in Elnora Fairview Cemetery at a later date with full military honors.

Memorial contributions may be made to Elnora Christian Church or the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the church.
