Clova Marie Dobbyn, 93, of Washington, Indiana, passed peacefully February 5, 2018, in Daviess County Hospital.  She was born on April 7, 1924, to Freddie Ellsworth and Anna Elizabeth (Barrett) McCord in Pike County, Indiana.

           She married “Dick” Leonel Richard Dobbyn on August 27, 1944 who preceded her in death on March 29, 1997.  Survivors include four children; Richard L. Dobbyn (Linda) of Wheatland, IN; Belva A. Lucas (Bob) of Fishers, IN; Cheryl J. Heckler (Mark) of Crossville, TN; and Barbara S. Roach (Jim) of Washington, IN; 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

           Clova graduated from Winslow High School in 1942 and she was employed by Uniroyal before retiring.  She loved to do crafts, cook, read, spend time gardening, spending time with family and volunteering in many ways at her church.  She was a longtime member of Wesley United Methodist Church.

           She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Eva A. McCord, and her brothers Elijah J. & wife Etolia McCord, Ellsworth D. & wife Gladys McCord, Rev. William E. and wife Thelma McCord, Harold R. & wife Mary McCord, Virgil O. and wife Louella McCord, and Gola P. McCord.

           Visitation will be at Wesley United Methodist Church in Washington on Friday, February 9th from 3:00 to 8:00 pm and on Saturday morning from 10:00 am until the service at the church.  Funeral services will be at Wesley United Methodist Church in Washington on Saturday, February 10th at 11:00 am with Pastor Rex Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Sugarland Memory Gardens.
