Teens Charged in Paoli School Threat

Three teens, two 17 and one 16 were taken into custody in Paoli yesterday in connection with last week’s school threat on social media aimed at the Paoli School Corporation.

Last Thursday, two posts threatened to do harm to the school in Orange County.  School was cancelled Friday as a result of the threat and investigation.

Indiana State Police Detectives worked diligently to find who posted the comments. They say the three teens apprehended yesterday were taken to a juvenile detention facility charged with Level 6 Felony Intimidation.

State Police are not commenting on specifics in solving the crime or what social media was used, they do say they are sending a clear message that such crimes are vigorously investigated and are never treated as pranks.  Authorities advise that engaging in communication of anonymous threats can have lifelong consequences for those arrested and convicted.   They warn that nothing on the internet is truly anonymous.
