Counterfeit Money Passed in Washington ; Woman Jailed After Accident

-Sunday morning, counterfeit money was turned into the Washington Police Station. A person reported fake bills passed at the Sunoco gas station on State Road 57 North.  One $10 bill and one $100 bill were examined and determined to counterfeit.

-Police investigated a shoplifting incident at Hanks on Saturday at 11:20-am.

-Another shoplifting incident occurred at Wal-Mart Saturday afternoon.  It was reported about 3:25-pm.  A woman was said to have been approached at the store and ran out leaving both items allegedly stolen and items paid for. 

-There was a collision in front of Washington Junior High Saturday evening. No injuries were reported.

-A motorist ran off into a ditch at Sportsman’s Road and 200-South at about 6:30 Sunday morning.

-Two vehicles collided at Main and West Streets in Odon at Noon on Sunday.

-There were car/ deer crashes at 150-North and 450-West last night at 9:40-pm and at 11 last night on I69 at Mile Marker 57.

-A Loogootee woman was arrested following a weekend accident at Center and Mill Streets in Washington.  According to police reports, 27-year-old Magdalan Arvin was charged with Operating While Intoxicated and Operating While Intoxicated Involving Endangerment.   No bond was set.  The accident was reported at 12:45 am Sunday from Center and Mill Streets in Washington.  Arvin was allegedly driving and hit a parked vehicle.  A female passenger in her car was taken to the hospital with bleeding to the head. 

-37-year-old Ricky Brochin of Bruceville was arrested on Saturday for Battery Resulting in Bodily Injury. No  bond was set.
