Patricia J. Wirth, 86, of Vincennes, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospital.
She was born November 13, 1931 in Stonefort, Illinois to Fred S. and Matilda (Williams) Cogdill.
Pat had worked at Brown Shoe Factory, PN Hirsch, Smith’s Drug Store, and in the cafeteria at Lincoln High School. A member of the First Christian Church, she also belonged to the American Legion, and V.F.W. Auxiliary’s. She enjoyed bowling, reading, puzzles, and listening to the Gaither’s.
Surviving are her children, Steve (Roseann) Cogdill of Lawrenceville, Mack Wirth of Vincennes, Melissa (Bill) Johnson of Vincennes, Sheila (Dennis) Howder of Vincennes, and Doug (Carole) Wirth of Vincennes; a sister, Betty Lane of Vincennes; her grandchildren, Justin (Sara) Cogdill, Karen (Adam) Campbell, Kris (Steve) Pride, Mark (Amber) Gerkin, Teresa (Adam) Haggard, Amber Wirth, Sean (Sara) Wirth, Jennifer Johnson, Nicholas Johnson, Dr. Josh (Dr. Seelye Parker) Howder, Shannon Howder, Autumn (David) Oates, Spencer Wirth, and Collin Wirth; along with 22 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Dale Wirth, whom preceded her on April 21, 2010; along with five brothers, and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Friday January 19, 2018 at Goodwin Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Pieper officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
