Traffic Stop Turns into Drug Arrests

-Washington Police arrested 37-year-old Josie Heath and 45-year-old Thomas Bevers both of Washington last night for Possession of Meth and Paraphernalia and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.  Heath’s Bond was set at $2500. No bond was set for Bevers who was also charged with Driving While Suspended with a Prior.  The arrests came as the result of a traffic stop at South Meridian and Train Depot at 9:09-pm.  A k9 was used and found the meth and paraphernalia.

-The Fire Department was dispatched to Mill Street at 10:32 last night when a stove caught on fire from an outlet.  The minor fire was out when the resident called to request firemen come to come and check out the incident.

-The Washington Township Fire Department was called to a barn fire at 11:35 yesterday morning and were there for over an hour.

-Police investigated a Breaking and Entering at 11:13 last night at an apartment on Northeast 4th.

-Police investigated a theft of some guns and other items from a Cosby Road residence.
