Former Parke Co. IN Sheriff and Wife Killed in Crash

 A former Parke County Sheriff and his wife were killed in an accident Thursday evening.

The crash happened just after 11:30 about two miles south of Rockville on U.S. 41.

Deputies say that a Dodge truck and a white Nissan SUV hit head on.

The truck was driven by 41-year-old Bryan Robertson and a passenger in the truck was identified as 28-year-old Hannah Flaurr who are both from Rockville.

Police say that a 17-year-old female was driving the SUV and her two passengers were identified as former Parke County Sheriff Michael Eslinger and his wife Darla.

The Eslinger’s were killed in the crash.

The 17-year-old was trapped in the vehicle and was taken to Regional Hospital after being freed.

Flaurr was also taken to Regional Hospital for serious injuries.

Police report Robertson was intoxicated at the time of the crash.

He is facing two counts of operating a vehicle while intoxicated causing death and two counts of operating a vehicle while intoxicated causing serious bodily injury.
