State Capital Sets Another Murder Record

(NETWORK IN)  Investigators found a man shot and killed Monday morning in what the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is referring to as a “homicide investigation.”

This makes 150 murders in Indianapolis, which breaks last year’s record of 149. This is also the 3rd year in a row in which Indianapolis has set a murder record and the 7th in a row in which murdershave increased in the city.

This shooting happened around 12:30 am in the 5300 block of Butler Terrace in the Hawthorne Place Apartments.

Police say family members found the adult male victim dead with multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim’s name has not been released. The investigation remains ongoing.
