-The Daviess County Sheriff’s Department is asking for your help in finding out who shot a horse in the county last month and a cow this past weekend.   Sunday afternoon, a cow was reported shot on Daviess County Road 325 North.  Daviess County Chief Deputy Gary Allison told the Washington Times Herald they are not sure if the animal was deliberately shot or was struck by a stray shot from a hunter. The cow died.  Some items in a barn nearby were discovered disturbed by the property owners. On November 20th, a horse was discovered shot on State Road 57 near the Round Barn by it’s owners.  It died a few days later.  Allison says they don’t know if the incidents are connected.  Anyone with information should call the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department at 812-254-1060.
