Head-On Crash Injures Petersburg Man

            A Petersburg man was seriously injured in a head on crash in Dubois County Friday night.

          State Police say it happened at 6:38-pm when 21-year-old Christian Stepanek of Petersburg was driving south between Huntingburg and Jasper on 231 and crossed the center line for unknown reasons.   His 2002 Oldsmobile collided with a 2002 Chevy truck driven by 74-year old James Weisman of Huntingburg.

         

 

 

 

 

      Stepanek was extricated from the car and taken to Jasper Memorial Hospital and later flown to St. Vincent’s in Evansville with head injury.  Wesiman suffered minor injuries and was treated at Memorial.  Both vehicles were a total loss.  The accident remains under investigation.
