A trial date has been set for Colby Blake. Blake is formally charged now with causing death while operating a motor vehicle. The charge arose from the crash that happened last Friday night and killed volunteer firefighter Kendall Murphy.
Blake’s trial has been set for March 20th, 2018.
Blake asked for a bond reduction at his initial hearing on Thursday, something the judge said he’ll take under advisement.
The prosecutor will also discuss with Murphy’s family, the possibility of home detention for Blake.
The state is set to report back to the judge with the family’s feelings by Monday.
