Jim “Jimmy” Dale Lamb, 73, passed away Nov. 2, 2017. He was born in Knox County on Oct. 24, 1944, to Beuford and Ada (Robling) Lamb. Jimmy owned and operated Jim’s Auto and Glass in Petersburg. He also served in the United States Army. He married Norma (Wint) Lamb on May 10, 1995.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; brother Bill Lamb; son Stacy Lamb; and wife Eileen Kay (Buchta) Lamb in 1990. Jimmy and Eileen were married in 1965.
He is survived by his wife, Norma Lamb of Petersburg; a daughter, Kimberly Rogers of West Lafayette; a stepson, David Sloan of Petersburg; and three grandchildren, Mitchell and Gillian Rogers and Savannah Sloan.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. EST on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017, at Harris Funeral in Petersburg. Burial will follow at Walnut Hills Cemetery, with a graveside military service by V.F.W. Post 3587 of Petersburg. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday.
