Domestic Battery Arrests in Washington…Possession Arrests in Vincennes

-A business at Cherry Tree Plaza reported receiving what they believed was a counterfeit $100 bill on Saturday evening.  Police are investigating.

-Saturday night, a resident on West Main in Washington reported a break-in.

-Vandalism was reported at on 500-East in Montgomery Sunday morning.

-Authorities received a call from a woman saying they woke up and there was smoke in the house.  That callw as made at 3:05-am Saturday from 2254 South State Road 57.  The fire department arrived to find heavy smoke.  No injuries were reported.

-Ambulances were sent to an Adaline Street residence in Elnora Saturday at 8:37-pm in reference to a report of a male who had fallen out of a street stand earlier in the day.  He complained of neck and back pain and was taken to Daviess Community Hospital.

 -Overnight, the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department charged 45-year-old Terri Campbell of Washington with Operating While Intoxicated Refusal with a prior.  No bond was set.

-City Police arrested 34-year-old Jose Navarrete with two counts of Operating While Intoxicated including with Endangerment.  No bond was set.

-A Washington man was jailed on an out of county warrant on Sunday following an accident investigation.  41-year-old Christopher Grannan was driving South on Alexander Road in Veale Township at about 4:28 Sunday afternoon.  The ’93 Chevy he was driving went off the road and hit a tree.  It was discovered he was wanted on the warrant and he was booked at the Daviess County Security Center.  No bond was set.

-Sunday—26-year-old Jefferey Rawls of Washington was arrested for Domestic Battery.

-A Washington man was jailed for Domestic Battery and Strangulation after a City Police investigation.  36-year-old Kenneth Mitchell was lodged in the Daviess County Security Center on the charges without bond.

-32-year-old Kevin Corns of Washington was picked up on a Failure to Appear Warrant on Saturday and for Theft.  No bond was set.

-Indiana State Police arrested 19-year-old Jacob Kies last night in Knox County.  He’s charged with Operating a Vehicle with a Controlled Substance and Possession of Marijuana and Paraphernalia.

-A Russelville, Illinois woman was arrested on a warrant in Vincennes on Sunday night.  The incident took place in the 100 block of South 13th .  City Police took 41-year-old Misty Renee Churchwell into custody on the warrant for Contempt.

-At 7:08 Saturday night, Vincennes Police went to the 1600 block of East St. Clair to serve a warrant.  26-year-old Nicholas Tyler Anthis was wanted on and Ilinois Department of Corrections warrant for a Parole Violation for Possession of a Syringe and Resisting Law Enforcement.

-At 3:08 Saturday afternoon, 28-year-old Derrick DeWayne Nicholson was jailed for Possession of Marijuana, Resisting Law Enforcement and Operating While Never Licensed.  Vincennes Police arrested him in the 100 block of South 13th.
