Rachel E. Fowler, 69, passed away at 10:43 pm on September 4, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Rachel was born on March 25, 1948 in Knox County the daughter of James and Pauline (Doades) Anthis.
Rachel had worked at Perdue Farms and enjoyed puzzles, knitting, crocheting, Facebook, game shows and gardening, especially flowers.
Survivors include her sons, Brian Slater of Vincennes, Andrew Mincey of Vincennes; brother, Kenneth Anthis of Vincennes, sister, Janie Wood of Emison, sister, Rose Shore of Vincennes, brother, Marvin Anthis of St. Francisville, IL, brother, David Anthis of Vincennes, brother, Ronnie Anthis of Vincennes, sister, Rebecca Eufracio of Vincennes; grandchildren, Nicci Crowe, Brandon Slater, Melissa Tipton; great grandchildren, Allie Crowe, Ralee Crowe, Quinn Tipton, Cade Tipton; and several nieces and nephews. Rachel was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Randall Anthis.
Graveside services for Rachel will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, September 8, 2017 at Orville Cemetery. Interment will follow the graveside service.
