A small business owner in Jasper has announced he’ll run for State Representative in District 63.

In making his announcement Shane Lindaur says he believes government was primarily instituted to protect life, liberty and property and all other functions need to be heavily scrutinized keeping in mind government doesn’t create wealth and can only take it from the tax payer.  Lindauer says he’s pro-life and an ardent supporter of the 2nd Amendment.  Lindauer has a BS in Industrial Technology Supervision and also earned a Doctorate of Chiropractic and BS in Health and Human Sciences.  He currently is part owner in a small business and has held teaching positions at the Oakland City University Bedford Campus and Ivy Tech in Evansville.  He was also a member of the National Guard.
