Family Friendly Cities

With the nation’s 16th biggest economy and the 6th lowest unemployment rate, Indiana is attractive to job seekers. And 41 other states have a higher cost of living. A wallethub.com analysis also finds the Hoosier State outranking 33 others in education and child care. But not every city in Indiana wins the web sites’s “family friendly” title. Carmel is ranked Number One. Followed in the top five by Fishers, Westfield, Zionsville and Avon.  But the state’s biggest city, Indianapolis, comes in at Number 70. And Gary is dead last among 78 cities surveyed.  The analysis ranked Jasper is at number 6 on that list. Washington at number 17, Vincennes is 33.  Bloomington 50 and Evansville 54. Terre Haute is at 65.
