Weekend accident reports

-A man was transported to Jasper Memorial Hospital after flipping his 4 wheeler early Sunday morning. Accident reports state it happened on Main Street in Alfordsville when 35-year-old Norman J. Cole of Loogootee was driving north and went off the east side of the road.  The ATV hit a stone and went airborne and landed on Center Street and bounced.  Cole was ejected.  The 4 wheeler continued on and rolled over coming to rest on its side on a front porch on South Main.  Cole suffered bruises and contusions and was transported to Jasper Memorial Hospital by ambulance.

 -Two vehicles hit head on, on Daviess Count Road 800-east at 9:30 Sunday morning.  35-year-old Janessa McCracken of Washington was in a 2011 Avalanche driving north, while 46-year-old Lean Miller was coming from the other direction in an ’06 Jeep.  Accident reports say Miller’s Jeep went left of center and a collision occurred. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

-Sheriff’s Department daily logs report a woman was injured when her leg was run over by a lawnmower. The call came in at 3:41-pm Saturday from a residence on East National Highway. EMS responded and Air Evac was also contacted and was dispatched.  No other information was released.
