Marilyn A. Mathis, 74, of Washington, IN went to her Heavenly Home Friday, August 4, 2017 at Daviess Community Hospital. Born December 17, 1942 in Washington, she was the daughter of the late Harold W. and Fannie H. (Adams) Walls. She married George Dale Mathis on November 3, 1963. Marilyn attended Washington Schools and was a homemaker, loving Wife, Mother, and Grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her Grandchildren, going for rides in the car, and sweet tea! She, along with her husband attended Trinity Gospel Tabernacle in Washington.
She is survived by her Husband George Dale Mathis; three Sons, James D. Mathis, Charles E. (Sue) Mathis, and Michael P. (Tracy) Mathis; a Daughter, Lisa A. (Randy) Stedman; a Brother, James Walls; two Sisters, Arvilla Thomson, and Dorothy Foster; eight Grandchildren; eight Great-Great Grandchildren, and several Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her Parents, four Brothers, Gene, Kenneth, David, and Paul Walls and a Sister, Donna Walls. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 9, 2017 in Gill Funeral Home with Rev. James Myers officiating. Friends may call Tuesday, August 8, 2017 from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
