Local arrests from Tuesday August 1…

-A Washington man was jailed yesterday for domestic battery and strangulation.  No bond was set for 29-year-old Phillip Akers.  He was arrested by city officers.

-An investigation by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department resulted in charges of resisting law enforcement, attempted residential entry and failure to identify against 34-year-old Chiffone Puckett of New Harmony, Indiana.  That arrest was made yesterday.

-Two people were charged with battery in the presence of a minor.  24-year-old Israel Martinez and 20-year-old Rose Hernandez were booked into the security center on the charge.  That arrest was made by the sheriff’s department.

-A Norris City, Illinois woman was arrested on a warrant for fraud on a financial institution and theft.  34-year-old Heather Lehmkuhler was being held on a $25,000 bond.

-Washington Police picked up 32-year-old Oakley Phillip of Washington on Tuesday on a petition to revoke a suspended sentence.
