Monday’s fire at Apartment 8 at 804 East Main in Washington is being called suspicious. The apartment rented by Shay Wise was a total loss. Firemen were called to the residence at about 1:40 Monday afternoon and were on scene for about 3 hours. There was a re-kindle at about 3-am Tuesday which sent out the fire department a 2nd time.
Another fire happened in another apartment at the building on July 18th. That apartment was rented by Samantha Burris. The owner of the property is Thad Rusk.
Both fires are being called suspicious and are being investigated by local and state investigators and an insurance company.
