For the 2nd time in less than two weeks, the Washington Fire Department was called to apartments at 804 East Main. Fire Chief Dave Rhoads says firemen went to apartment #8 at 1:40-pm yesterday. No one was home. Rhoads says the renter is Shay Wise and the landlord is Thad Rusk. There were no injuries as firefighters remained on scene until 4:45-pm. The apartment was deemed a total loss as the fire is under investigation by Washington Fire and Police Department investigators and the state fire marshal.
On July 18th, the fire department went to the same complex and fought a fire in a different apartment. That incident was ruled suspicious and was under investigation.
