Ruth E. Jolliff, 75, of Elnora, Indiana, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones, on July 30, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana. She was born in Raglesville, Indiana on November 10, 1941 to Roy B. and Hazel M. (Wagoner) Myers. Ruth was married to her loving husband, Marvin O. Jolliff on September 12, 1959.

Ruth was a member of the Raglesville Frady United Methodist Church and Plainville Lions Club. She also worked with her husband on the family farm until they retired in 2004. Together they raised livestock, row crops and a family.  Ruth was a vibrant individual…a woman of many talents and interests. She enjoyed operating the large equipment required in their farming operation with fall harvest being her favorite “season.”  Her passion for all things growing lead her to become a certified Purdue Master Gardener. She enjoyed sharing her knowledge with others. As an active participant in many clubs, groups and organizations, she enjoyed influencing many generations of 4-H and Extension Club members. She loved to travel and to entertain.  Whether you were “hay help” or invited to one of their large social gatherings, an individual was always welcome at Ruth’s table. After “retirement” she and Marvin enjoyed spending their winters in Florida and their summers traveling and tractor-pulling.  She will be missed by many. Ruth was an organ donor with her corneas going to Indiana Lions Club Eye Bank.

Survivors include: her husband, Marvin O. Jolliff of Elnora; one son, Phillip (Sara) Jolliff of Elnora; one daughter, Diane (William) Erdman of South Bend, IN; four grandchildren, Paul (Melodie) Erdman, Glenna (Tim) Jolliff-Kaiser, Karl (Stephanie) Erdman and Dwain Jolliff; two-great-grandchildren, Mia Erdman and Raelynn Kaiser and one sister, Mary Edmondson of Evansville.
