Decker resident injured near Petersburg

(DLC Media) A Decker resident on an off-road-vehicle was hit by a car while crossing a Pike County Highway Friday. 19-year-old Jody Schatz of Decker was driving the Honda on Pike County Road 825-west at just before 6 on Friday evening.  He was south and crossing State Road 56 and hit by a Honda passenger car which was westbound driven by 29-year-old Jonathan Harper of Petersburg.   Schatz was ejected and thrown into the windshield of the car.  He was flown to Deaconess in Evansville with multiple cuts and head trauma.    There was a juvenile in the front seat of the car who suffered minor injuries and was taken to and treated at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton.
