The Loogootee Summerfest got underway last night. New royalty was crowned in the queen pageant yesterday. Aubri Jo Gilbertson was selected as the new Miss Tiny Tot in the competition. Congratulations to Montana Scales the new Little Miss Summerfest. The Junior Miss winner was Jayleigh Marie Harger, and the 2017 Miss Summerfest Queen is Mallory Ann Berry.
The SummerFest continues tonight in downtown Loogootee. The Louisville Wild Bunch Medieval Times Show is new this year and gets underway at 5pm, followed by free entertainment on stage from the Fun Guns at 8pm. The Rides will begin at 5pm. The Summerfest wraps up with a full day on Saturday beginning with the 5k Run / Walk at 7:30am and the big entertainment Saturday night from the Hunter Smith Band former punter for the Indianapolis Colts. Loogootee Mayor Noel Harty says this will be the big finale for this year’s festival…
