Today is National Drug Take Back Day; Dare to Dream Career Fair is Thursday, and a hearing on what’s going to happen with Tecumseh-Harrison School in Vincennes is set for Monday.

 

 

 

 

CRANE CTE

A program designed to increase awareness of the Career and Technical Education (CTE) is this Thursday at Westgate Academy at Crane.  It’s dubbed the Care to Dream CTE and Career Fair.        Attendees will be able to get acquainted with career paths, available educational opportunities and network with employers.  There’ll be breakout session on healthcare, advance manufacturing, engineering, IT and cyber security.  To RSVP or more information go to  Dare to Dream 2017.

 


DRUG TAKE BACK

Today is National Drug Take Back Day sponsored by the Drug Enforcement Agency.   From 10 to 2 today, you can drop off unwanted or unused prescription or over the counter medications, including controlled substance and pet medicines.  In Washington a box is  in the lobby at the Police Department. It’s located and available there every day of the year 24 hours a day.  In Knox County today from 10 to 2 you can drop off items at the Vincennes and Bicknell Police Departments and the Knox County  Sheriff’s Department.


 

VINCENNES SCHOOL HEARING

A public hearing is set for Monday at Tecumseh/Harrison Elementary School.  Discussion will center on remodeling plans for the school building and student relocation.  It’ll start at 6 at the school gym.  Officials will talk about what will happen during the entire process for the 2017-18 school year.
