Washington Police conducted a traffic stop on Northwest 1st yesterday afternoon and arrested a local man on meth charges.
The stop was made at 3:42-pm and the driver, 39-year-old Benjamin Leighty of Washington was found to be in possession of about 3 grams of crystal meth and a glass device consistent with illegal narcotics use.
Further investigation led to charges of conspiracy to deal meth, possession of meth, possession of paraphernalia and maintaining a common nuisance.
