Pole snapped after crash….counterfeit money reported in Washington…

 

 

The Daviess County Sheriff’s Department worked a car/deer crash at just before 6-am Sunday on 257 at 500-south.

-There were no injuries when a driver hit a pole snapping it half on US 50 Saturday afternoon.   Accident reports state that 26-year-old Forrest Desaillan was driving a 2000 Olds Alero west on 50 and attempted to pass another vehicle in a no passing zone.  To avoid an oncoming eastbound vehicle, Desaillan tried to quickly pull into the Black Oak Motel parking lot.  The car slid on gravel and hit the pole.

-There was a property damage accident Saturday morning at just before 10-am at Southwest 1st and Walnut.

-Police worked a parking lot accident at the American Table Restaurant.  A customer went to leave and noticed their car had been damaged by another vehicle.

-Last night at about 8:42, Washington Police officers received a call concerning a possible counterfeit 100 dollar bill.  The investigation is continuing.

-Sunday at 2:14-pm a caller reported a vehicle on fire at Mill and Center in Washington.  The fire department responded.

-Washington and Knox County police worked together on a stolen vehicle case Saturday night.  The vehicle was said to be on State Road 57 South and possible headed to Vincennes.  The vehicle was located in Knox County.  Police logs state no one was arrested or located with the vehicle.

-Sunday at 2:30 authorities responded to a vehicle that rolled over into the lower lake of East Side Park.  It’s believed there were no serious injuries.
