1st Courthouse Annex meeting is tonight in Washington

The Daviess County Commissioner and Council will hold a public meeting tonight which will focus on a proposed courthouse annex.

At issue is space is running out at the courthouse to store records and to do the day to operations of several departments mainly the judicial system.

In a recent interview, County Council President Mike Sprinkle said he’s been in office for 17 years and when he was first elected the need for more space was expressed, so it’s been an ongoing issue …

The public will receive information at tonight’s meeting. There will also be an opportunity to comment.  It’s at 6-pm at the 4H Building at East Side Park in Washington.  Tonight is the first of a series of three meetings.  Others will be held in Montgomery and Odon later this month for the convenience of residents in those areas.
