Washington Mayor Joe Wellman gave his annual State of the City Address at Monday night’s City Council meeting.   The Mayor reported that exactly a year ago he was on a trip to Japan.  As a result of that trip, M &C Tech Indiana, the first Japanese company to locate on the I-69 corridor, announced that they would build a 40,000 sq. ft. factory in Washington.  Accompanying the Mayor at the Council meeting as his special guest was M & C Tech Indiana President Masa Kinoshita, and Office And Human Resource Manager Yuka Ullstrom.  Both Kinoshita and Ullstrom have moved to Washington and were welcomed as new residents.
