A new exhibit is coming to the Daviess County Museum later this month.  It’s called, Glory Days: Daviess County Sports Teams through the Ages.  It opens March 2nd and features documents, artifacts pictures, stories and more.

Historical Society volunteers have created the exhibit that spans the years from the early 20th century to the present and covers basketball, football, track, volleyball and baseball.

The museum will celebrate the opening of the exhibit with a special event.  The Basketball Memories roundtable is slated for Monday the 27th at 6-pm.

A panel of former players will share their favorite moments from on and off the court.  Panelists include Albert Kavanaugh representing the Montgomery Vikings, Norman Beasely representing the Odon Bulldogs, Jerry Osman from the Plainville Midgets and Sam Gee from the Washington Hatchets. The event is free and open to the public.  The event will be recorded for broadcast by WAMW and DLC Media and aired before the sectional championship games March 4th.
