Margie Ann Clark, 81, of Loogootee, passed away at 9:48 p.m. Wednesday at Jasper Memorial Hospital.

 

 

 

 

She was born Feb. 1, 1936, in Loogootee, to Alfred and Wilma Clark (Way).
Margie was a member of St. Martin’s Church in Whitfield. She earned her master’s degree in nursing and worked and taught at St. Mary’s School in Evansville and the University of Evansville. She worked at many hospitals over the years including Daviess County Hospital, Jasper Memorial Hospital, and several hospitals in Indianapolis, including St. Francis.
She is survived by her brothers, Frank Clark (Linda) of Jasper, Jack Clark (Marcia) of Beaufort, South Carolina, John Clark (Patricia) of Jasper, Fred Clark of Jasper, and Tom Clark of Albany, Georgia; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Margie is preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Wilma Clark; brothers Bob Clark, Bill Clark, Jim Clark; and sisters Mary Walton and Betty Sutton.
A visitation will be held Tuesday from 10 a.m. to noon. A memorial service will be at noon Tuesday at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee. Burial will be held on a later date.
