Charlotte Meyer, 84, of Loogootee, passed away at 11:10 a.m. Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Loogootee Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born October 1, 1932 in Montgomery, Indiana to the late Orville “Pete” and Gletis (Patterson) Strawn.
Charlotte married William Dale Meyer October 12, 1952 and he preceded her in death September 25, 2009.
Charlotte was previously a book keeper for WA Fisher and worked in the Martin County Auditor’s Office. She was a broker/agent for Century 21 until she retired at the age of 80.
She was active in the Loogootee community and a was member of St. John Lutheran Church.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, William Dale Meyer; parents, Orville “Pete” and Gletis (Patterson) Strawn; siblings, Eileen (Harold) Green, Orvilla (James) Bowling, Lucille (Fred) Brown and James Strawn.
She is survived by her children, Jeff (Nancy) Meyer and Lisa (Jack) Divine, both of Loogootee; grandchildren, Casey (Amy) Meyer of Leland, North Carolina, Ashley (Adam) Witter of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, Jordan (Ashlye) Divine and Josh Divine, both of Loogootee; great-grandchildren, Kailye Robbins, Jack and Wrenlye Divine and Allie and Tyler Witter; siblings, Betty (Joe) Gray and Susie Page of Loogootee; sister-in-law, Donna Strawn of Washington.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2016 atSt. John Lutheran Church.Burial will follow in Goodwill Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday,December 27, 2016 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee and Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Martin County Cancer Society or St. John Lutheran Church.
