Charles Edward Brown, 61, of Washington, died at 2 a.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Hospital.

 

 

Born Oct. 16, 1955, in Indianapolis, he was the son of Albert and Edna Kates Brown. He married Mary Alice (Murray) Brown on Dec. 22, 1990.
He was a 1975 graduate of L & M High School and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was the maintenance manager at the Gasthof Amish Village.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Alice Brown; three stepdaughters, Rebecca Davis of Washington, Lila Fitzgerald and Jenny Giddnes, both of Pensacola, Florida; a stepson, Tim Meinhart of Washington; 41 grandchildren, including two very special grandchildren, Nate and Emma Davis; four sisters, Diane Rogers of Indianapolis, Mary Ann Horton of Bicknell, Zola Brown of Glendale, and Letha Blake of Alfordsville; and four brothers, Richard Brown and Albert Brown, both of Burns City, Steve Brown of Indianapolis, and John Brown of Washington.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Poindexter-McClure Funeral Home, Washington Chapel, with Don Williams and Don Cannon officiating.
