Mary Louise “Peggy” Lee, age 99, of Shoals, passed away Friday November 11th, 2016 at 7:22pm at the Loogootee Nursing Center.

She was born on December 8th, 1916 in Martin County to Jasper and Gertrude (Lundy) Hotz.She was raised by Jack and Bessie Grafton.   She married Harry E. Lee on December 17th, 1939 at her home and he preceded her in death in 1980.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Shoals United Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star #368-Rebekah Lodge, Women’s Study Club and the Homemakers Club.

She is survived by one daughter Nancy (Roy) Pannell of Loogootee, and a brother-in-law, Larry Parker of Sarasota, FL, seven grandchildren, Mike (Michelle) Pannell of Montgomery, Nanette (Aaron) Hembree of Loogootee, Angela Dillon of Odon, Cori (Tim) Lukomski of Loogootee, Diana (Ed) Sexton of Bradenton, FL, Kurt Parker of Indianapolis and Rusty (Martha) Parker of Fairfield, OH, ten great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Carolyn Parker, two sisters Grace Lutes and Ethel Edwards, two brothers Clyde and Clifford Hotz, and a great granddaughter.

Funeral Services will be held Friday November 18, 2016 at the Queen-Lee Funeral Home in Shoals with Rev. Josh Sanders officiating.  She will be laid to rest in Springhill Cemetery in Shoals.

Visitation will be from 4-8pm Thursday and until time of service Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial Contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Shoals United Methodist Church and the Martin County Humane Society.
