Janice Kay “Jan” Browning Grove

Janice Kay “Jan” Browning Grove, 59, of Montgomery, passed away at 5:14 p.m. Wednesday at Indiana University Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.


She was born July 14, 1957, in Washington, to Floyd and Hazel (Burton) Reed. She was a 1975 graduate of Barr-Reeve High School and was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. She worked at Buehler’s Buy-Low for over 22 years and for Barr-Reeve Schools for seven years.
Jan loved to cook and bake for family and friends when she was able and always loved socializing with people of all ages.
She is survived by her husband, Terry Grove, whom she married May 28, 2005; one sister, Brenda Spaulding of Washington; one brother Allen Reed of Montgomery; one nephew, Jackson Spaulding of Washington; two nieces, Christina Reed of Washington and Amy Reed of Arizona.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, John Browning, and her parents.
Funeral services will at 1 p.m. Saturday at Ed Lee Mortuary, with Yvonne Evans officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery in Montgomery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Ed Lee Mortuary.
