Police find a stolen truck and issue arrest warrants

What started as an investigation into the theft of a vehicle in Jasper turned into a multi-state, multi-agency involved case.

Back on August 25th, The Jasper Police Department began investigating a reported vehicle theft from Meyer Logistics in Jasper.  The transportation business learned from Louisville, Kentucky police that one of their trucks was found abandoned in Louisville. It was discovered that the truck was stolen on August 21st. Through GPS police learned where the truck had been from the time it was stolen.  The truck had stopped in Paoli, Indiana for some time at one point.  State Police were called and they learned that a barn at the residence where the truck had been, had been burglarized.

The investigation led to 25-year-old Mathew Snyder of Bristow Indiana who admitted to assisting in the theft of the truck and involved in the barn burglary.  The stolen items had been taken to a Louisville home. Police went there and found everything that had been stolen accept for a 1987 Indian Motorcycle which had been sold.  Police found the buyer and recovered the motorcycle.
An arrest warrant was issued for Snyder and for 38-year-old Coy Crawhorn of Jasper.  Both are wanted for burglary and theft. Snyder was being held in Louisville on unrelated charges. Crawhorn remains at large.  Anyone with information on his whereabouts are sked to call the Jasper State Police Post at 812-482-1441.
