Crash on 69, mailbox vandalism reported

 

ACCIDENTS

-Authorities were called to an accident on I69 in the southbound lanes at mile marker 57 last night.  The report was that the crash involved a U-Haul truck and another vehicle.  There was a boat in a ditch and a boat trailer on the side of the road.  Preliminary reports are that one person was taken to the hospital.

-Sunday at 5:40-pm, two vehicles collided on State Road 57 and Cumberland Drive.    43-year-old Francisco DeLeon of Washington was in a 2000 Chevy south bound and approaching the intersection when according to reports, 17 year old Noah Myers in a an “01” Pontiac turned left into the Wal Mart entrance and a collision occurred.  DeLeon reported having the green light and Myers a flashing yellow light.  There were no injuries.

POLICE REPORTS

-Several mailboxes were reported damaged at three addresses on Craney Road. The reports came in at just before 8-am on Monday morning.

-A person went to the Washington Police station on Monday and reported a vehicle stolen.

-There was a report of the rear window of a vehicle busted on Southeast 6th.

-Sunday, a resident on West VanTrees reported a male sleeping on their porch and then knocking on the door.  The subject was then seen crawling across the road.  Police arrived and reports are that the person was taken to the hospital.

-Sunday night a resident on Southwest 2nd reported their garage broken into.
