Drive Sober

The Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign continues through Monday throughout Indiana.

State Police, The Governor’s Council on Impaired and Dangerous Driving and the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute are partners in the national and statewide enforcement mobilization.

State and local police have joined together to conduct high visibility patrols encouraging drivers to not drink and drive.

The program is funded through the Traffic and Safety Division of the Criminal Justice Institute.  Officers are working overtime conducting sobriety checkpoints.

Last year there were over 4800 alcohol impaired collisions in the state.  92 of those crashes were fatal.
