The price of gas came down several cents over the weekend in Indiana. The state average Monday morning was $2.03.
Indiana has the 17th cheapest gas in the country, according to gasbuddy.com.
The city with the cheapest gas average was Jackson, Miss., with $1.91 for the average.
In Indiana, the city with the cheapest gas is still Washington, at $1.79, with the most expensive at a station in Bloomington at $2.69.
Oil expert Trilby Lundberg, is with the Lundberg Survey which tracks gas prices all over the country.
Also, there are situations where a service station or a chain may have locked in a prices and cannot feasably charge cheaper prices until that contract has run out.
