Lloyd Neal Barnes Jr., 67, of Washington, passed away July 23.
Born June 8, 1949, in Vincennes, he was the son of the late Lloyd N. and Georgia (Blair) Barnes Sr. He was a self-employed furniture upholsterer and a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; a son, Jonathan A. Barnes; a son-in-law, Robert Waltz; a daughter, April D. Barnes; stepdaughters, Edna Rose Arthur and Nancy Christenberry; a goddaughter, Jamie York; two sisters, Patricia J. Matthews and Linda Hildenbrant; two brothers, Richard and Terry Barnes; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Joan Colbert.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Vincennes Avenue Wesleyan Church. Pastor Jewell Gilley will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Sugarland Memory Gardens. Online condolences may be made at www.gillsince1872.com
