Baseball tickets handed out to five area sheriffs.
The Travis Burkhart Foundation gave back to local law enforcement yesterday by presenting Cardinal baseball tickets to the Sheriff’s Departments in Daviess, Knox, Pike, Greene and Martin Counties.
The Travis Burkhart Foundation was started to help those in need the same way the Burkhart family was helped when they were in need following an accident severely injuring Burkhart. The foundation provides support in the form of monetary aid, food, and information.
In a special video thank you released on Facebook, the foundation presented 12 Cardinal baseball tickets for a July 23rd game to each sheriff of the five departments yesterday.
Vice President of the Travis Burkhart Foundation, Johnny Cummins said they wanted to support law enforcement for putting their lives at risk every day. We were challenged to thank officers when we see them on the street for their service to the community. The gift is given in the wake of the police shootings in Dallas last week.
