Wednesday evening, around 8:26 p.m., Washington Police officers observed 24-year-old Tyler Hankinson of Washington in the parking lot at Jamestown Square Apartments. Hankinson was the subject of an outstanding warrant for Failure to Appear for possession of a controlled substance. When officers attempted to arrest Hankinson, he fled and was apprehended a short time later after a foot chase and the deployment of a taser. During the foot chase, Hankinson jumped from an upper story window in an attempt to evade police. Hankinson was taken to the Daviess Community Hospital and then to the Daviess County Security Center where he is being held on a writ of attachment with a $9,000 cash bond, and an additional charge of resisting law enforcement.

Wednesday, the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department arrested 37-year-old Leland G. Akers of Princeton on a Writ of Attachment. He is being held in the Security Center on a $13,000 bond.

The Washington Police Department made a traffic stop on a green golf cart Wednesday afternoon, and arrested 52-year-old Bradley J. Lawyer on charges of Operating While Intoxicated .15% BAC, Operating While Intoxicated controlled substance, and Operating While Intoxicated with a Prior. He is being held in the Security Center.

33-year-old Jennifer L. Hagan of Newburgh was arrested by Indiana State Police Wednesday on charges of possession of paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. She was released on a $2,000 bond.

And early this morning, the Washington Police Department arrested 44-year-old Ponciano Gamez-Colunga of Washington for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. He is being held in the Security Center.
