Two girls are charged in the May 23rd incident in Dubois County.

Two 17 year old girls have been charged in Dubois County in connection with an internet robbery scheme.

The Dubois County Sheriff’s Department reports that both minors have been charged with inducing and aiding in robbery resulting in serious bodily injury.  One girl’s charges are a Level 2 Felony and the other a Level 3.

On May 23rd authorities responded to the 500 block of South State Road 162 at Bretzville where a man had been injured in the head with a baseball bat and robbed of several hundred dollars.

Investigators determined that two men were talking to two females through a website and they decided meat at a residence near Bretzville.  As the four were talking, two unknown black males came to the porch and hit the victim in the back of the head with a bat and the other held a shotgun and demanded money from the man who was still standing.  The two black men and 17 year old girls then left together headed south on 162.  Both victims were taken to Memorial Hospital and one was later flown to another hospital.

The investigation led to the arrests yesterday.
